I have a stack of kayaks for friends and family to use, and they all scrap for one of my pair of Old Town Vapor 10 Kayak. With the addition of a inflatable seat pad, hatch cover, and a spray skirt, we have been down the Hiwassee River many times in these for class 2-3 rapids, and a little practice and a bilge pump makes these perform admirably. I live not far from the Tennessee river, and a 14 mile trip has been done, and these Old Town Vapor 10 Kayak are big and roomy. My only complaints are the drain plug placement [I use a bilge pump and sponges instead], and the guide for the anchor is in the perfect place to catch my hand when paddling, and led to several bad words before their removal. It tracks well, and I can out-paddle the rest with less effort. The next I buy will be another Old Town Vapor 10 Kayak.
